Please see Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support and check for your specific Mac year/model.

Only into an emulator such as VirtualBox. The version of Boot Camp included with Mac OS X 10.7 and newer cannot be used to set up Windows XP or Vista.
